October 4, 2021 – Press conference on Walloon biomonitoring results (BMH-WAL)

Just over 800 Walloon residents volunteered to take blood and urine samples to measure their levels of impregnation with a range of chemical substances found in the environment, food, water, packaging and everyday products.
Reference exposure values for the Walloon population are now available.

This study was carried out in partnership with the Clinical, Forensic, Environmental and Corporate Toxicology laboratories of CHU-Liège, the Louvain Centre for Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology (LTAP), UC Louvain, Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc and Sciensano. The presentation will be made in the presence of the Minister of the Environment, Céline Tellier , who will contextualize the results.

The results can be downloaded from this link from Monday 4 October 15:00 https://www.issep.be/biomonitoring/
