Context
Launched by the Governor of the Province of Hainaut in 2010, the APPORT project is part of the Interreg IV “France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen” 2009-2012 program, under priority number 3: “Carrying out joint and integrated actions in the field of cross-border daily life”.
In many ways, safety is a key factor in the daily lives of our fellow citizens. Even if the ability of security and civil protection services to intervene is never compromised in cross-border emergencies, APPORT aims to improve coordination and the continuous exchange of information between authorities. Crisis management methods, regulations and the organization of emergency services are significantly different on either side of the Franco-Belgian border.
ISSeP is an active partner in this project, working in the area of cross-border technological risk assessment.
